Practice Tips

  • Books – you’ll need the book for the notation and hints.

  • Take it slowly – if you are finding it difficult, slow the backing track down (click in the bottom right corner of the video) and don’t increase the speed until you can play the piece comfortably at the slower pace. Finally, when you can play it at the normal tempo, challenge yourself with a faster speed.

  • Little & often – it is much better to do several short practices in a week than one long one.
