Everything you need for the Student Recorder course is on the website, and books are not a requirement. However, they can be a useful enhancement to learning, and are especially helpful for individual or small group practice, used with the backing tracks on the Practice page of the site. This page doesn’t require a login, and can therefore be accessed by students at home. The books also make it possible for descants and trebles to play some of the pieces as duets.
